Faithful Citizenship

Each year, the United States Council of Catholic Bishops prepare and share a document encouraging each of us, as both faithful Catholics and citizens of our United States to embrace the privilege and opportunity to vote. While the Church never tells anyone how to vote, nor endorses any particular candidate or party, we do consistently urge our parishioners as faithful citizens to participate in the election process by developing an informed conscience with regard to the issues we hold important, and the positions of each candidate in regard to those elements in our society.

Bishop O’Connell has prepared a video message that encourages each Catholic voter in the Diocese of Trenton to prepare ourselves for the coming election season with prayer and appropriate research; as your pastor, I encourage you to take 3 minutes and listen to our Bishop’s wise advice.
