Interactive Faith for Children and Families
Explore ways to engage children in a relationship with Jesus and the Church. We will explore story, movement, and media in the service of catechesis. Come and discover simple, but creative ways that eveyr religion teacher can bring the Good News to young people.
Therese Boucher holds a Master's Degree in Religious Education. She has been involved in catechist training and adult faith formation on a diocesan level for over thirty years. Therese has also served as a pastoral associate at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, where her responsibilities included RCIA, evangelization, and preschool programming. Most recently, she and her husband John have won the “New Wineskins Award” from the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership for creative and evangelizing programming through the Christmas Carol Festival process.
Mrs. Boucher has written several books including: Evangelizing Unchurched Children: A Pocketbook for Catechists (Resource Publications, 2000, reprinted 2007), Making Friends with the Saints (Pauline Books and Media, 2003) and When You Notice the Empty Pews (www.christkey.com). Dozens of her articles have appeared in such magazines as --Catechist, Religion Teacher's Journal, Pastoral Life, Today's Parish, and Liguorian. She also maintains an internet ministry through www.christkey.com and www.catholicevangelizer.com.
